DEADEYE DICK

Alternative rock band Deadeye Dick signed with Stephen Klein Management in 1994. By 1996 the band was already planning their second world tour. Deadeye Dick may be the first band to ever have two gold records for the same song on two different record labels.

Originally signed to Ichabon Records, distributed by Warner Bros, the band were label mates with Vanilla Ice, Tag Team, and many legendary blues acts. The record quickly sold over 500,000 copies and was RIAA certified Gold. Ichabon Records sold the rights to RCA Records for the movie Dumb and Dumber, starring Jim Carey. As the lead single for the soundtrack, the band again sold over 500,000 copies bringing them to Gold status for a second time.

Although the band never quite duplicated the success of “New Age Girl,” Deadeye Dick had several more moderate hit songs that charted in Billboard’s Heatseekers charts and allowed the band to continue touring for many years.
